God always has ways that supercede anything we could dream of. He can make an individual care about the needs and hurts of his own people even if he's never suffered them. God also can arouse concern in the human heart about people who are completely different, even about those who are feared or hated. A Jew honored among Jews, the Apostle Paul brought the gospel to non-Jews by entering their homes and eating with them, acts forbidden under Jewish law. Similarly, God can use a person like me, who has no knowledge or experience of gang life, to care enough to change the future of gang members. He's done it once; why not again? Just because he did it once in a particular way in Fresno, however, does not mean that he will do it the same way in your city. But be assured, he wants to offer hope to the gang youth in your area.
