For Hope Now to penetrate the business community, it is important to make every effort to obtain entry-level job opportunities from one significant employer in the area. When Valley Children's Hospital hired our youth, we gained instant credibility with the business community. As you pray, speak and make contacts for Hope Now, always ask for jobs, and then doors will open. Don't wait narrowly focused on obtaining a "Christian" employer, because any community-minded, well-respected employer will do. Once you have that employer, be sure to gain permission to publicize that fact in every way you can, in your newsletter, on your stationary and when you speak. Follow up by contacting your local Chamber of Commerce, manufacturer's associations and organizations of human relations professionals to seek their help in setting up meetings with light industrial and service employers...
