Skip Lynn has served on the Hope Now Board for nearly two decades. He is a Christ-follower who believes strongly in the mission of Hope Now which is to find employment for young men seeking to get out of gangs and to present them with the healing grace of Jesus Christ.
Skip is a thirty year executive in the Environmental Industrial field and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fresno.
Corey FileChairman of the Board
Corey File has been on the board of Hope Now For Youth since 2012. He is currently Chairman of the Board. His love for helping young men in need was modeled by his father before him. His father served on the board of directors for over 20 years.
Corey has extensive business experience and currently develops assisted living and memory care communities in the Western U.S. In his spare time, he is a successful Little League Baseball coach.
He is married and has five beautiful children.
Necia WollenmanSecretary / Treasurer
Necia Wollenman is one of our founding board members. For two decades she has had a heart for young men who are in need of hope. She is a retired partner of Moore Grider & Co., Certified Public Accountants.
Along with being an intregal part of our Hope Now board, Necia has served on the boards of The Discovery Center and Ronald McDonald House. She brings exemplary accounting experience and knowledge to our organization.
Roger FeenstraRetired Executive Director; Director of Communications and Cambodia Ministries
Pastor Roger is retired Executive Director of Hope Now For Youth. Hope Now is a Christian rescue organization. The ministry helps young gang members get out of the gang life and into a job. He is a licensed pastor in Hope Now Bible Church where he preaches on various Sundays throughout the year and leads an adult Bible study during the week.
He serves on the Board of Directors and assists the new executive director as the organization’s Director of Communications and Director of Cambodia Ministries.
He graduated with High Honors from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. He attended Riverside Community College, Biola College (University), and he received his certificate in Strategic Planning and Management in Retailing from Babson College.
Roger was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard in the early 70s. In 1980 he began a 24-year career with Berean Christian Stores (now Lifeway Christian Stores). In 2000 he became president of the company and served in that position for four years. He became Executive Director and CEO of Hope Now For Youth in 2004 and retired from that position in 2018.
He has traveled to Antarctica, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, Cambodia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Jordan and Israel.
In 1975 he married Carol and has two married daughters and eight grandchildren (Six grandsons and two granddaughters). He believes in the U.S. Constitution and supports all efforts to defend it. Roger enjoys learning how to be a better writer, coffee (not tea) reading, playing golf, watching (soon to be World Champions Dodgers) baseball, and hanging out with his grandkids.
Franklin Spees has over 15 years of diverse real estate and business experience as an attorney, small business owner, development consultant, city planner, and real estate broker. Throughout his career he has demonstrated repeated success in both the private and public sectors by providing expert counsel and facilitation as a “creative problem solver” to maximize land, physical improvements, and uses of real property through development, transactions, entitlements, and drafting public policy.
Franklin is a licensed member of the California Bar Association and an accredited LEED, AP through the United States Green Building Council. He holds the designation of Certified California Residential Manager (CCRM) as a member of both the California and Fresno Apartment Associations. Franklin has advised and facilitated real estate transactions as a licensed real estate broker and as a member of the California and Fresno Association of Realtors.
Franklin is currently practicing law as a business and real estate attorney with Lawvex, Inc. in addition to other real estate ventures. Franklin is married to his wife Lisa and has three elementary age school children.
Dr. Marty MartinDirector
Dr. Marty Martin has been a faithful board member for nearly two-decades. He is a popular pediatrician and participates annually in medical missions. He has had the opportunity, during his medical mission, to visit and encourage our Hope Now director in Cambodia.
Dr. Marty was born and raised in Fresno. He is married and has two adult sons. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fresno and serves on that church’s session. He lived in downtown Fresno for 20 years where he and his wife had neighborhood ministries for low income and at risk children. That same passion has fueled his love for the young men in Hope Now For Youth.
He has the distinction of referring the very first youth to Hope Now For Youth, and that young man is still working in his job at Valley Children’s Hospital.
