Hope Now is always there for me. Without Hope Now, I think I’d be in prison or dead. Today I see my life a whole lot better because of Hope Now.
Program Graduates Share Their Stories of Success with Both Their Jobs and in Life.
I heard about Hope Now through a friend who told me he knew of a place that can get guys with felonies jobs. One week after finishing the program, I was offered a job at Fresno Plumbing. I am thankful to God for opening the hearts of the staff at Hope Now For Youth so that they could help me.
Hope Now For Youth inspired me to want to make a change in my life. By hearing others testimonies and seeing what the program had done for them made me want to do better.
One morning I got a call from my dad about a program that he said I should go to called Hope Now For Youth. He said they help guys like me in getting a job and that it is Christian based. My wife and I were kind of skeptical of it at first because it sounded to good to be true, but we were wrong… it turned out to be much greater than just help with getting a job. They provided me with structure, friends and positive people to look up to. Hope Now became like another family to us.
My Hope Now For Youth counselor was a significant part of my change. I can’t emphasize that enough. He was always there for me and always on me when I felt like giving up. I remember him coming to my house and bringing quilts. My girlfriend and I were blown away how much he cared about us. We weren’t used to that kind of love.
Hope Now helped me to become a better person. Not just by getting me my first job, but also by encouraging me to get visitation to see my daughter and to go back to school. They gave me hope that I can become successful and taught me that it is better to run to Jesus than to run to the streets.
